Norwich v Everton: tricky trip to end with a point for Toffees

Published:

Whilst we have grown accustomed to Everton’s overachievements in Premier League seasons, many may be surprised to see Norwich perform so well after promotion from the Championship, and some will be inclined to back them to win at 13/8 on Saturday.

David Moyes’ battle-hardened side have won their past three matches in all competitions by a 2-0 scoreline, and they are 6/4 about another win here, whilst a repeat of that scoreline is available at 8/1.

The draw is a 9/4 shot meanwhile, and given the never-say-die attitude instilled into either side by their respective fiery Scottish managers, this looks like an outcome worth investing in.

Everton’s goalscoring instincts have sharpened in recent weeks as their form on the whole has improved, and with Norwich always good value for a goal, particularly at Carrow Road, the score draw is an appealing proposition at 3/1.

Norwich to win or draw a match that features three or more goals also looks good at 23/10, and with goals flowing more freely for the away side in the latter stages of the season leading up to now, a 2-2 result looks overpriced at 10/1.

Those who fancy a repeat of the 1-1 draw the teams played out in their Goodison Park encounter though, can get 11/2 about that occurring here.

Betting on which team will score first could be a good way to turn a profit on this match too, and as the Toffees have notched just three times on their travels before the break this season, Norwich look a great bet to find the net first at 1/1.

The physical frontlines of either side is sure to cause the other’s defence some problems on Saturday, and Grant Holt could follow up his goal away to Everton with the opener in this game at 6/1.

Nikica Jelavic has added a cutting edge to Moyes’ side since his January arrival though, and the Croatian may be worth taking on to score the final goal of the game at 5/1.
