‘Money’ Mayweather raking in the bets ahead of Cotto bout

The WBA light-middleweight title fight between Mayweather and Miguel Cotto gets underway in Las Vegas on Saturday but unfortunately for the Puerto Rican it’s been one way traffic for Mayweather (1/6), who’s the overwhelming odds-on favourite for the fight.
However, punters do fancy the title bout to go the distance as Cotto (4/1) comes into the fight off the back of four consecutive victories. The bookies quote Mayweather at odds-on (10/11) to win by points or 6/4 by KO.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “As far as punters are concerned Mayweather’s got this title in the bag. Cotto’s in fine form and shouldn’t be underestimated though.”
