Real Madrid planning summer raids on Chelsea and Man City

Real Madrid are once again expected to spend big this summer as they search for an elusive Champions League title.

The Spaniards haven’t won Europe’s biggest trophy since 2002 and crashed out at the semi final stages this season.

Now Mourinho looks to be targeting some high-profile Premier League players as he aims to win the third Champions League of his career and his first with Real.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Chelsea midfielder Ramires is high on his wanted list after impressing during the second half of the season.

He was brilliant in their semi final victory over Barcelona but missed the final through suspension.

However, it would take a huge bid to sign the player who joined Chelsea from Benfica for nearly £19million two years ago.

If you think that is ambitious, then the next rumour looks even less likely to come to fruition.

Mourinho is, according to the Sunday Express, looking to add Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero to his side for next season.

The Argentinean – who scored the goal that saw City claim their first Premier League title – is a player long admired by Mourinho and the Portuguese is expected to break the bank to try and coax him away from Manchester.

The Sunday Express reckon it would take something in the region of £50million to even get the sides talking but it’s hard to see City being tempted to sell a player who was so crucial for them last season.

However, if Aguero decides he has a better chance of Champions League glory with the Spanish champions then he may take a leaf out of Carlos Tevez’s book and angle for a move.

Real are in at 7/2 to win the Champions League next season but, with City also fancied at 5/1, it’s hard to see Mourinho getting his man.
