Moyes demands Kenwright talks as Baines and Fellaini attract attention

David Moyes is set for talks with Bill Kenwright as the vultures circle around two of his key men.

Leighton Baines has been the subject of much speculation already this summer, with Sir Alex Ferguson noted as having an interest in the England international.

The Man United boss is keen to land a replacement for Patrice Evra who may be coming to the end of his Old Trafford career, and he sees the Toffees left-back as the perfect player to slot into his side.

Baines will cost the Red Devils up to £15 million, but United are keen to reduce the fee by sweetening the pot with a number of loan deals involving players on the fringe of Manchester club’s squad.

Ferguson has already bagged Dortmund schemer Shinji Kagawa as he looks to re-mould his side in order to reclaim the Premier League title they lost to their city rivals last term.

United will be boosted by the fact that Everton have already looked towards a replacement for Baines.

They are believed to have sounded out Wolves left-back Stephen Ward should a deal be sanctioned.

Marouane Fellaini is also attracting attention from the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid, with both set to be preparing bids in the region of £20 million.

The afro-adorned Belgian had a wonderful season and despite being a focal point of this current Everton side a move to the European champions, or the glamour of Madrid, may be enough to turn his head.

Moyes is keen to hang on to his stars and wants assurances from his chairman that he will be given the funds to tie both men down to long term improved contracts, amid fears that the club could be set to cash in on the valuable duo.
