The Royal Lodge was won by Frankel in 2010 and although finding a horse this good is unlikely this year, there are some talented two-year-olds in the field.

This could end up between Steeler and Al Waab in a tight finish, as both tend to finish quickly after taking a while to hit top speed.

Rosdhu Queen is still unbeaten, but the form of her Lowther Stakes triumph does not look the strongest, while there are doubts regarding the stamina of the also unbeaten Winning Express.

Beauty Parlour won four from four over the Sun Chariot Stakes distance of 1m before going for him too early over 1m2f in France last time.
