La Liga & Serie A action – Real, Atlético & Inter all set to win

Published:

Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid & Inter Milan are the favourites to win their domestic clashes broadcast by Sky Sports and ESPN.

The Spanish champions are 1/8 on to beat Deportivo, while the Europa League holders are 21/20 to triumph away to Espanyol, with the same price available for Inter to beat Fiorentina.

An accumulator incorporating wins for the three favourites would come in from odds of 4.72, but there are various other value markets for the matches.

Real Madrid to win by a margin of 3 goals against Deportivo @ 7/2

Following Real’s poor start to this season, manager José Mourinho questioned his player’s commitment to the cause prior to their Champions League clash with Manchester City.

Thankfully for the Portuguese tactician his side responded to his concerns, clinching a last-gasp victory over City which they backed up with a 2-0 away win over Rayo Vallecano.

Their quick turnaround in fortunes actually gives the glittering Madrid club four wins from five, and rightly sees them as the bookies’ favourite at home to 10th place Deportivo.

The hosts are sure to be in confident mood against a side that has scored seven but conceded seven from their opening five games.

Atlético Madrid to win at half-time and full-time against Espanyol @ 11/5

Struggling Espanyol host high-flying Atlético Madrid at the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat, with the visitors looking to continue the good form that has led them to second in La Liga.

Diego Simeone’s team are yet to lose in any competition this season, having enjoyed a near perfect start to the 2012/13 campaign.

Atlético’s dominance can be supported in Barcelona with a price of 11/5 for the away side to win at half-time and full-time.

Inspirational striker Falcao might be missing from Los Rojiblancos’ line-up, although in Diego Costa and Adrián they have enough firepower to make up for the Colombian’s absence.

Inter Milan to win to nil against Fiorentina @ 5/2

Mixed bag Inter Milan host Fiorentina at the San Siro still searching for their first victory of the season on home soil.

Curiously, the Italian side have won all of their away fixtures this season to nil, but are yet to add a win to their two draws and three losses at home.

Perhaps the crowd in Milan are not helping this Inter side, but it looks only a matter of time before they convert their winning formula on the road into home triumphs.

Three points against La Viola would be a great way for the hosts to amend the balance, and with new man Antonio Cassano beginning to find his feet alongside Argentinean marksman Diego Milito a win to nil could be worth backing.
