C’ship Accumulator: Bristol City highlight the 72/1 fourfold

Published:

Bristol City did plenty of teams a favour in the Championship promotion race when they ended an 11-match winless run with three points at Middlesbrough last time out.

This shock result has done little to raise expectations ahead of their trip to Brighton; they’re a huge 5/1 to rack up their second win on the bounce but still star in our monster fourfold that pays out at 72/1.

Bristol City to beat Brighton @ 5/1

The Robins thoroughly deserved the points they picked up on Teesside; they attacked without reservation and were sturdy at the back. Their finishing was clinical and looked a huge threat on the break.

If they can do the same away to a Brighton side who have won just one of their last six at home then there’s every chance they can claim another priceless victory.

Derby to beat Cardiff @ 17/10

The Rams have an awful record against Cardiff but their home form suggests they can add to their one win in eight renewals against the Bluebirds, a spell in which they’ve lost seven.

Malky Mackay’s side have their home form to thank for their current position at the top of the Championship. Their win at Barnsley last time out was only their third of the season away from home and it ended a run of three straight defeats on the road.

Derby completed a hat-trick of home wins against Birmingham at the weekend, stretching their unbeaten run at Pride Park to five and are well worth a bet at this price.

Charlton to beat Peterborough @ 4/5

Since being outclassed by Middlesbrough in early November, Chris Powell’s men have shown significant improvement and have gone four games without defeat. An Adam Clayton penalty in the closing stages is all that stopped them recording four straight wins against Huddersfield last time.

It’s fair to say the Addicks are stronger on the road, having claimed maximum points in just two home matches so far, but they can’t be overlooked at a shade short of even money against arguably the worst side in the division.

The Posh are currently propping up the table after four losses from their last five and having shown two of their better attacking talents the exit door at London Road another loss looms at the Valley.

Sheff Wed to beat Watford @ 6/4

The Owls are in serious relegation danger after following up vital wins over fellow basement-boys Peterborough and Ipswich with four successive reverses.

Their form at Hillsborough will be key to their survival chances having won just once on their travels to date and Watford are a far cry from the strongest opposition they’re likely to face in the Championship. It’s a game they must win and a strong attacking display should ensure it.
