Championship Treble: Three home wins to bring up 4/1 shot

| 26.02.2013

Despite the fact that only three Championship matches are set to take place, punters should not disregard this midweek opportunity to bet on the second tier.

And we take all three home sides to triumph, completing a treble that would payout at odds exceeding 4/1.

Leicester are our first choice, as 4/6 hopes to end a four-match winless run that has progressed throughout February.

The visit of Blackburn Rovers represents a terrific chance to do so, considering the Foxes haven’t lost on their own patch to the Lancashire outfit since 1991.

Although Rovers have lost only once in their last eight games, they have yet to victor in a league game on the road in 2013, and have mounting injury concerns here.

Colin Kazim-Richards’ absence in particular will detriment Blackburn’s chances, and they are likely to struggle against a side with the second-best home attacking record this term.

We turn to Burnley as our next choice, with Sean Dyche’s men also looking to end a poor run of recent form against a Huddersfield side struggling to find their feet under Mark Robins.

The Clarets are 4/5 to best the Terriers, who have conceded 10 times in Robins’ initial three matches in charge in all competitions.

Though Burnley haven’t won in their last five, they haven’t lost at home to Town in 41 years, and have won four of the past six Turf Moor meetings between the pair.

They can add another victory to that tally, opposing a side that haven’t gained a single point on their travels this year, conceding 19 times in just four matches along the way.

To finish, we opt to side with Bolton as 8/11 chances to overcome Peterborough at the Reebok Stadium.

Posh have never won away to the Trotters, whose most recent 4-1 win over second-place Hull was their fourth win in five on their own turf.

Dougie Freedman’s side have lost only three home games all season, and should be backed to beat a Peterborough team that have lost nine away matches this term, and failed to keep a clean sheet in 2013.
