Euro Acca: Sociedad win the highlight of our 37/1 fourfold

Published:

As ever, Sunday serves up a banquet of football from across the continent and, for those partial to a wager on these games, we’ve strung together a 37/1 fourfold that might be of interest to you.

Real Sociedad to beat Rayo @ 9/5

Philippe Montanier’s men find themselves in the shake up for Champions League football next season, owing largely to the fact that they have only lost once in 21 outings, which was a 4-3 defeat away at Real Madrid.

They’ve won three of their previous four outings, despatching top-four rivals Malaga 4-2 last time out, as well as recording a win at the Vicente Calderon which is no mean feat at all.

Rayo come into the game on the back of failing to win five of their previous seven and, while they’re only seven points worse off than Sociedad, it’s hard to see how the visitors aren’t going to claim the spoils here.

Basle to beat FC Zurich @ 8/11

Fresh from their conquering of Tottenham, Basle revert back to domestic action and can expect to come out on top against a Zurich side who have lost their previous two games, shipping seven goals in the process.

Murat Yakin’s side have tasted defeat just twice since October 28, only once in Swiss-centric action, and begun their incredible run with a 2-1 win over this very opposition. They’ve won 11 of their last 13 encounters at St Jakob’s Park and their fans will be celebrating once more here.

Bologna to beat Palermo @ 3/1

Countless manager changes and a megalomaniac of a chairman have conspired to make Palermo the Serie A laughing stock and, with plenty of alternatives to choose from, this takes some doing.

They have managed to string successive victories together to give themselves a chance of beating the drop but Bologna, who only Juventus have managed to get the better of in their last six outings, will toss them right back into the frying pan with victory in Sicily.

They’ve conceded just one goal in their previous three road games and are in good shape to see off their next opponents.

Lille to beat Marseille @ 21/20

Rudi Garcia’s men have found their best form at exactly the right time and are now heaving their way up l’Championnat in a bid to secure yet another season of Champions League football.

Lille have won seven of eight league ties ahead of Marseille’s visit, which they warmed up for by beating Lorient 5-0.

Their next adversaries aren’t playing too badly either, going unbeaten in five, winning three and keeping four successive clean sheets, but Lille have the momentum to come out on top and cut the gap between the sides to just two points.
