In-form QPR can utilise favourable fixtures to complete great escape

As the business end of the Premier League season comes to fruition, the division’s bottom club QPR have come into form at the perfect time.

And as such, Ladbrokes have been forced to trim their price to remain in the top flight to 13/8, which still looks a tempting prospect.

The Rs, who remain odds-on at 2/5 to go down, have won each of their last two games, and have been unbeaten in way more than half of their league matches since Harry Redknapp took over in November.

Renowned for free-flowing football, it has surprised many what a solid unit the Hoops have become under Redknapp, but the defensive unity he has instilled into the team has certainly bred positive results.

Indeed, the Loftus Road outfit are in possession of the best defensive record of all the division’s bottom five clubs, three of which the Rs are yet to play.

And with that in mind, now looks the best time to take advantage of the 13/8 odds regarding QPR avoiding the drop.

They next meet an Aston Villa side with just one win in their last seven league home games, and a third Rs triumph in succession would ensure that price shortens again.

Meanwhile, the fact that of a number of teams with dismal away records are yet to visit Loftus Road bodes well for punters backing the Hoops to remain in the Premier League.

Within their final four home games, QPR will host a fellow bottom-three side, in addition to two travelling sides who have only one away victory apiece to their names this season.

Ample opportunity is thus available for the Rs to collect points between now and the end of this term, whilst the strength of Redknapp’s playing squad is also a massive positive in their bid to avoid relegation.

January addition Loic Remy has hit the ground running in England, and a continuation of the form that has seen him hit three goals in his first five games can also aid a successful Hoops survival bid.
