Wenger fancied to bid European farewell to Arsenal in Germany

Arsenal head to Bayern Munich aiming to overturn a 3-1 aggregate deficit to advance to the Champions League quarter-final, and they are 16/1 to qualify by any means.

The task they face to progress is monumental however, considering Bayern’s blistering form across all competitions this season, and the impressive nature of their success at the Emirates in the first leg of this clash.

And with the Gunners certainly not guaranteed a top-four Premier League berth, Ladbrokes go odds-on that this game represents Arsene Wenger’s last in charge of Arsenal in the Champions League.

Although his lack of European experience would be a negative, the sterling job Moyes has performed at the helm of Everton goes some way to making him an appealing candidate for any potential Gunners vacancy.

If he was to take the Emirates reins though, Moyes would be burdened with the task of ending a trophy drought spanning nine years, and his failure to land any silverware with the Toffees would too go against his chances of claiming the post.

13/8 is the price that Arsenal do win a trophy next term, regardless of who is in charge of the club, whilst it is odds-on at 1/2 that their silverware drought continues.
