Rumours point to Chelsea return for Real boss Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has agreed to rejoin Chelsea in the summer according to the latest rumours.

According to the Daily Star, talks between his agent Jorge Mendes, and Blues owner Roman Abramovich have gone well and it’s just a case of when and not if Mourinho will return to Stamford Bridge.

They also reckon he’s already drawn up a shopping list and is hopeful of bringing in Hulk from Zenit St Petersburg. Although the striker only joined Zenit for £42m in September, it hasn’t been the happiest of times for him and, with Abramovich’s strong connections to the Russian club, a deal could surely be beaten out.

However, for now at least, Mourinho is boss of Real Madrid and on course to win his third Champions League title after limping through to the semi finals.

They were overpowered by Galatasaray for long periods of their quarter final second-leg and were defeated 3-2, but their 3-0 first-leg win saw them through.

They are currently the 21/10 second favourites to win the Champions League and, if they were to do so, then surely Mourinho would do what he’s done after winning the cup at Porto and Inter Milan – leave as quick as his legs will carry him.

While it does seem fairly fanciful that a deal has already been struck between Chelsea and Mourinho, there is certainly a sense that he will be heading back to west London this summer – and winning the Champions League with Real would surely see it happen.

Finally, there are also rumours that Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is a target for Swansea boss Michael Laudrup who is hoping to get him on loan next season.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Swans boss hopes the lure of Europa League football will convince Chelsea to allow a deal to be done for the forward who’s scored 13 Premier League goals while on loan at West Bromwich Albion this term.
