Back the B teams in our Championship fourfold

Published:

From second-placed Burnley to rock-bottom Bolton, we fancy several of the Bs to have a fine weekend in the Championship, with Brighton and Bournemouth also looking good to claim three points.

Bournemouth to beat Blackburn @ 13/10

Bournemouth have won four out five matches at home in all competitions this season, while Blackburn have struggled on the road, losing two and drawing two of their four games.

Wigan, Barnsley and Charlton have all already left Dean Court empty-handed, and Blackburn could well follow in their footsteps.

Burnley to beat Charlton @ 17/20

Burnley have made an excellent start to the season, taking 17 points from their first eight games to sit second in the Championship.
In contrast Charlton are 20th, and have lost three and drawn two of their five away games in all competitions.

The Addicks lost their last match at home to fellow strugglers Millwall, and are unlikely to enjoy a trip to a rampant Burnley.

Brighton to beat Ipswich @ 7/4

Although Ipswich have a good record at home this campaign, winning three out of four in the league, the teams they have beaten – Millwall, Middlesbrough and Yeovil – are all lodged in the lower reaches of the table, with Leeds collecting three points when they came to town.

Brighton have not lost on the road since the opening day of the season, and have won on two of their past three trips to Portman Road.

Bolton to beat Yeovil @ 8/11

Bottom hosts third-bottom in this clash at the Reebok Stadium that could be Dougie Freedman’s last chance to turn around Bolton’s miserable form.

Bolton have lost twice and drawn twice at home this season, but have faced tough opposition including league leaders QPR in that run, and will be confident of a first league victory against Yeovil, who have lost seven and drawn one of their past eight matches in the Championship.

This four-fold pays out at odds of around 19/1 if successful.
