Alonso and Webber can conquer the podium in India

With Championship leader Sebastian Vettel the only man to win in India, and the only driver to ever lead a lap around the Greater Noida circuit, it appears nailed on that the German will register a hat-trick of victories here at 4/9.

It would be wise then to look away from the race winner market and instead turn attentions to the other markets currently on offer.

Fernando Alonso has been another driver who has taken well to the Buddh International Circuit, registering a second place finish last year, following on from his third in 2011.

The Spaniard has been consistent of late, missing out on the top-six just once in the previous nine races and the 1/5 about him repeating that feat here looks a banker.

The Ferrari man has struggled to keep pace with the dominant Red Bull of Vettel, as have the rest of the field, yet he has still found himself on the podium on seven occasions in 2013, and the 6/4 on offer for another top-three triumph will tempt many.

Those expecting the two-time world champion to test the current title holder should get behind the 7/1 available on Alonso in the betting without Vettel market; rich value for a driver with three second-place finishes in his preceding five races.

Australian Mark Webber is another man who will attract attention.

The 37-year-old is looking to exit Formula One in style and he showed that he still has what it takes as he came home behind his Red Bull team-mate Vettel in Korea.

Webber has been strong in qualifying at this track, registering the third and second fastest laps in 2011 and 2012 respectively. It is 1/33 that he makes Q3, while the 5/1 on him securing pole position looks very healthy.

The former Williams driver managed to turn his strong Saturday form into a third on the Sunday last year and is 4/6 to make the podium again in 2013.
