Ipswich v Burnley – Ipswich to win at 6/4
Burnley don’t enjoy visiting Ipswich. The Clarets haven’t won at Portman Road since 1970 and have since visited on 14 occasions, only to return to Lancashire without three points.
They may be top of the table, but Burnley have been beaten once already on their travels this season and face an Ipswich side which has won four of five matches at home so far, scoring two or more in each of those victories.
The Tractor Boys may sit just 11th in the Championship, but it’s their away form that’s holding them back, and they can cause the league leaders major problems here at 6/4 to win.
Leicester v Huddersfield – Leicester to win at 8/13
The Foxes are sitting pretty in third place, and are still unbeaten at the King Power stadium with four wins from their five games.
Opponents Huddersfield have mustered just one victory so far on the road, and suffered a thumping here last year when Leicester ran riot in a 6-1 win.
Mark Robins’s side did triumph in an FA Cup replay at Leicester in February, but the hosts should have too much about them here, particularly with an in-form David Nugent who boasts six goals in his last eight appearances.
Millwall v QPR – QPR to win at 10/11
So far QPR are supporting their pre-season favourites tag, and are unbeaten with eight wins from 10.
They’ve conceded just once away from Loftus Road and head to a Millwall side which has already been beaten three times in front of their own supporters.
They may be two London clubs, but this fixture isn’t noted for its derby atmosphere, and Harry Redknapp has a side with plenty of quality to see off their hosts on the south side of the Thames.
Nottingham Forest v Bournemouth – Forest to win at 8/13
Nottingham Forest are enjoying a strong start to the campaign with just one defeat in their 11 matches.
The Reds are unbeaten at home and can take advantage of a Bournemouth team which has conceded 16 goals already away from Dean Court.
To further dent the hopes of the Championship new-boys, the Cherries have only ever made five visits to the City Ground, and have failed to win every time.
