Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle should chase these Frenchmen

There have regularly been an array of French players lighting up the Premier League for the best part of 20 years and it has been revealed that it is the French that have played more minutes in the top-flight than any other nation this season, bar the English.

Here are three more Frenchman who may well have the Premier League on their radar soon.

Remy Cabella – Montpellier

Many people would have been focused on the demise of Lyon in recent seasons after their 5-1 defeat to Montpellier, rather than paying closer attentions to the talents of Cabella.

The 23-year-old scored two of Montpellier’s five and assisted the other three, which helped take his tally for the season to five in just seven starts from midfield.

Not only does he have an eye for goal, but in possession he combines tricks, imagination, passing ability and fluidity. Once he develops a little more discipline, he will surely soon be joining Paul Pogba at the heart of the French midfield.

Of the biggest guns in the Premier League, Manchester United seemingly have the widest opening to profit from Cabella, with the mid-table sides unlikely to be able to afford Montpellier’s asking price, which is sure to be around the £20m mark.

Sebastien Corchia – Sochaux

Another playing knocking on the door of a French call-up is Corchia, who was on the brink of a summer move to Lyon, before the deal collapsed.

He would look a solid replacement to fellow Frenchman Bacary Sagna at Arsenal and would potentially a more attack-minded option, given Corchia’s desire to get forward and deliver crosses.

Stephane Ruffier – Saint Etienne

Injury to Mickael Landreau has resulted in Ruffier being called up to the French squad for the clashes with Australia and Finland.
