Napoli set to rediscover home comforts in our Euro treble

Published:

Rafa Benitez’s Napoli side may have come unstuck against Arsenal in Europe.

However, I Ciucciarelli are likely to make a welcome return to the Stadio San Paulo when they face Livorno and successfully complete the first leg of our continental treble.

A £10 bet on victories for the Italians, Eintracht Frankfurt and Valencia returns an appetising £104 with Ladbrokes.

And there are plenty of reasons to suggest that each member of the aforementioned trio is primed to do the business.

Napoli v Livorno – Napoli to win @ 1/4

The hosts have made a scintillating start to their domestic campaign and visiting Livorno will find no respite from a team that has won five of their opening six league games.

Furthermore, Livorno have lost their last five against I Azzurri and their recent away record in Italy’s top flight makes for grim reading.

Davide Nicola’s newly-promoted outfit have only won one of their previous 14 on the road in Serie A, with that sole victory coming against bottom dwellers Sassuolo.

Anything other than a home win would constitute a major upset.

Freiburg v Eintracht Frankfurt – Frankurt to win @ 8/5

Freiburg found little comfort when taking a break from Bundesliga action to face Sevilla in the Europa League.

A 2-0 defeat in Spain was compounded by a sending-off and Frankfurt aren’t about to do Christian Streich’s team any favours.

The away side have lost only once in their last seven encounters with Freiburg and they’re unbeaten in three previous trips to the Mage Solar Stadion.

And four wins in their last five matches in all competitions, while conceding just one goal, is another major positive in Die Adler’s favour.

Athletic Bilbao v Valencia – Valencia to win @ 11/5

Valencia look to have turned the corner following their early season struggles and their ascent up the Primera Liga table can continue when they visit Bilbao.

Before last season’s 1-0 reverse against the Basque side, Los Che hadn’t lost to Athletic Club in their eight previous meetings.

Seven of those contests resulted in victories for Valencia and the visitors could pounce once again when they face their inconsistent opponents.

The hosts have lost three of their last five and their reinvigorated rivals can exploit such patchy form.
