Our editors’ bets: Bayern to have another boring Bundesliga day

| 19.10.2013

Thank goodness itself that the trauma of the internationals is now behind us and we can all get back to some proper betting on fathomable football.

Craig Kemp

Bayern Munich to beat Mainz and under 3.5 goals in the match @ 7/5

Interestingly, Bayern Munich are the most boring team in the Bundesliga this season, as their eight fixtures have featured only 18 goals, which is fewer than every other club in the German top-flight.

Bayern have conceded in their last two and Mainz have found the target in all of their away outings, but a home win to nil can be expected here, which will probably be a 2-0 or 3-0 success for Pep Guardiola’s men.

RKC Waalwijk v Roda: Over 2.5 goals @ 8/13

The Eredivisie as a whole averages almost 3.5 goals per game this season, with both of this pair conceding at least two on average from their nine outings.

All of RKC’s four at home and each of Roda’s four on the road have all gone over 2.5 goals thus far, which makes this bet promising.

Furthermore, five of the last seven between this pair have seen at least four goals.

Oxford to beat Accrington Stanley away @ 19/20

It’s already been alluded to on this site but at shades of odds-on this is a price punters must be grabbing.

It’s a simple equation of League Two’s best away record triumphing over the division’s poorest home record, as Accrington remain rooted to the foot of the table having taken just one point form 15 available at the Crown Ground.

Morecambe to beat AFC Wimbledon @ 23/20

Staying in the fourth tier of the English football pyramid, these teams are heading in polar-opposite directions in the form table.

Only Rochdale are on a better run than the Shrimpers, who are undefeated in eight, winning six of those – including their last two.

Meanwhile, a winless run of three for the Dons has included a loss to second-from-bottom Northampton and most recently became only the third side to drop points against Accrington.

All Odds and Markets are correct as of the date of publishing.
