Faiers and Willerton backed for rumble in the jungle

Much of the talk surrounding the latest series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! has focused on the blossoming bond between Joey Essex and Amy Willerton but any hopes of jungle romance could be crushed with the arrival of Sam Faiers.

Fans of TOWIE will no doubt recognise the blonde bombshell as Mr Essex’s former flame and the source of much conflict for the bouffant-sporting boy wonder.

The pair have dated on and off for much of the past two years, getting engaged on two separate occasions, before a series of on-screen arguments saw them call it a day once and for all back in June.

At present the 23-year-old is the runaway favourite to win the jungle endurance reality show, with Ladbrokes offering odds of evens on an Essex victory.

But the real competition could come in the love department, with Willerton and Faiers now vying for the Wham-era-George-Michael-lookalike’s affections Down Under.

At present, his former partner is odds-on to be the first to kiss Essex on the show at 1/2 while the pageant winner is the outsider at 6/4 to share a passionate moment with the man unable to tell the time on an analogue watch.

And should things get heated between the babes battling for his affections then the 3/1 available on the pair coming to blows in the celebrity jungle may be one to look out for.

In terms of outright betting, Faiers remains someway off the pace however, with odds of 14/1 on the lads mag favourite winning the show while Willerton is further out at 20/1.

One potential dark horse for the crown could be Matthew Wright, with the often vilified television presenter providing some of the highlights so far.

The Channel 5 stalwart weezed, burped and yelped his way through an opening bushtucker trial that brought tears to the eyes of both contestant and viewer alike.

Displaying the kind of histrionics not seen since the heady days of Paul Burrell’s infamous Hell Holes saga of Series 4, Wright can be backed at 20/1 to survive his jungle ordeal and come out on top.
