Liverpool and Celta first names in Euro four-division fourfold

Published:

It really shouldn’t be that difficult to pick one definite winner from the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga on a single weekend.

And we don’t think it is the most Goliath of tasks either and believe this fourfold can reward punters to the tune of 15/2.

Liverpool to beat Fulham @ 1/4

This price does look slightly short, but Liverpool have won all of their home games barring Southampton’s Anfield smash and grab, while Fulham haven’t taken points on the road from anyone outside of the Premier League bottom two.

Fulham have only managed to score on one of their last seven visits to Anfield too.

Genoa to beat Verona @ 5/4

Verona may be punching above their weight in fifth in Serie A, but this is largely because of their perfect six-from-six record at home.

However, they are away next to a Genoa team to have won their last two at home since Gian Piero Gasperini returned for a second stint as manager and three of their last four at any ground, with the hiccup an unsurprising one at Juventus.

Celta to beat Rayo Vallecano @ 1/1

Celta are arguably the biggest underachievers in La Liga this season, but they have shown signs of getting their act together of late by winning two of their last three, with the other game a defeat against Barcelona.

Rayo have lost all of their road trips, barring a win over bottom club Almeria, and three on the bounce either home or away.

Monchengladbach to beat Nuremberg @ 8/15

Monchengladbach are one of three Bundesliga teams to retain a perfect home record and this should be continued next against second-bottom Nuremberg, who are still winless this season.

However, they have become draw specialists on the road, sharing the points in five of their six away games, although these were all against fellow bottom-half opposition.
