Chelsea prepare huge bid for Colombian striking sensation
Published:Jose Mourinho has been adamant that Chelsea would not be purchasing a shiny new striker during the January transfer window, but continued woes for the three he currently has at his disposal could force the Portuguese into a change of heart.

He has 11 in 13 league games for Dragoes, which contributes largely to his 14 in all competitions during the current campaign, and Mourinho watched him play as recently as November in Colombia’s friendly clash against Belgium.
That scoring form is a continuation of the prolific debut season Martinez enjoyed at Porto, where he notched 26 times in the league and 34 overall, and Chelsea will find that sort of net-finding nous hard to ignore given their current predicament in that area.
With a potentially title-defining clash against Arsenal on the horizon, where the Gunners are 9/4 to shut Chelsea out, Mourinho must sit and cross his fingers that his stuttering strikers can find some kind of form until the transfer window opens.
