Don’t dismiss Dappy’s Celebrity Big Brother chances

Over the years Celebrity Big Brother has had its fair share of bad boy winners from everyone’s favourite dancing Mancunian Bez through to the ‘gypsy king’ himself Paddy Doherty, but this year could bring a whole new meaning to the term with Dappy.

The N-Dubz frontman is the 8/1 outsider to claim victory in the Channel Five reality series, with controversial comedian Jim Davidson the current favourite to win at 2/1.

But while the former Generation Game presenter cuts a forlorn figure in the house following rows over bedtime noise with Luisa Zissman and an incident in Frank Carson’s dressing room with Linda Nolan, Dappy continues to run wild in the house.

Early bed times and moody silences now appear to be the order of the day for Davidson, but for the man born Costadinos Contostavlos it’s business as usual with plenty of boozing, Jacuzzi time and truth or dare antics to amuse viewers at home.

Dappy had previously looked doomed for an early exit after aligning himself with Evander Holyfield during a row with Zissman in which the rapper was criticised for making overtly sexist comments.

But since then the 26-year-old has won both his housemates and the viewers at home over, starting with The Apprentice runner-up, with whom the musician has been involved in a series of raunchy escapades on the sofas and in the CBB showers– much to the amusement of the tabloids.

Meanwhile, the Chullos-wearing urban star also managed to drum up sympathy with audiences after scoring just six per cent in an IQ test against Zissman, with his former foe chalking up a healthy 69 per cent score.

With the results announced to the entire house, Dappy was left feeling humiliated by Big Brother, with viewers subsequently appearing to side with the star about the unfair nature of the test and its broadcast.

His chances of success in the meantime have been boosted by the news he will not face eviction, with Davidson up against Liz Jones and shock addition Sam Faiers up for the chop.

Provided he can stay out of trouble and keep his flirty, comedic antics in check, then Dappy’s ‘Good Intentions’ may see him follow in the footsteps of Alex Reid and Mark Owen with a win for the bad boys.
