Twente to close gap on Eredivisie leaders by defeating Heracles

Published:

The Eredivisie gets back underway tonight with in-form Twente ready to pick up where they left off before Christmas.

The Tukkers look good for three points tonight against Heracles but it pays 7/1 if you group them together with French sides St Etienne and Nancy and Portugal’s Vitória Guimarães in a four-leg accumulator.

A £10 stake on our Friday night Euro acca pays a healthy £75.70 if all four selections come good.

Twente to beat Heracles @ 1/4

Alongside Ajax, FC Twente are the form side in Holland’s top flight and they will be hoping they can hit the ground running against Heracles after the winter break.

The Tukkers have lost just two of their last 18 league matches and are currently on a run of seven matches without defeat which has propelled them to third in the Eredivisie, just three points behind the leaders.

With 2010’s title win fresh in their minds, Michel Jansen’s side will be determined to have a strong second half of the campaign starting against a side who are without a win in four matches.

St Etienne to beat Lille @ 13/10

The third and fourth placed sides in Ligue 1 clash at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard and St Etienne can make home advantage count when Lille come to town.

Lille have had a fine season so far but their 2-1 defeat to Reims will have given Les Verts plenty of confidence going into the clash given their excellent record at home.

Christophe Galtier’s side are on a three game winning streak at home and have suffered just two defeats in front of their own fans all season, therefore they are the selection to win a tight affair.

Vitória Guimarães to beat Olhanense @ 20/21

Before Sunday’s 2-1 win against fellow strugglers Vitoria Setubal, Olhanense were on the receiving end of six straight defeats in the Primeira Liga.

And with another home match tonight against Vitoria Guimaraes Giuseppe Galderisi’s side will be confident of back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Nancy to beat Bastia @ 1/3

For the fourth leg of this accumulator we move down to Ligue 2 where Nancy can heap further misery on bottom of the table Bastia.

ASNL have been a force to be reckoned with at Stade Marcel Picot this season, losing just two of their 10 home league matches this season.

Five straight wins surrounded by home comforts have seen them move into contention for promotion and Pablo Correa’s side can continue their rise against a Bastia team cut adrift at the bottom of the table.
