Hertha Berlin to end hellish home run against Freiburg
Published:Colombia national team manager Jose Pekerman is currently sweating on the recovery of injured star striker Radamel Falcao in time for the World Cup but this Friday’s Bundesliga game between Hertha Berlin and Freiburg could offer up a glimpse of one alternative.
The Berliners are 4/6 favourites for victory with Ladbrokes, despite winning just one of their last six league fixtures at the Olympiastadion, and a big factor in that price could be the continued fine form of their own South American striking sensation Adrian Ramos.
Capped 22 times by Los Cafeteros, the 28-year-old is enjoying the best season of his career to date, with an impressive tally of 14 goals in 22 appearances for the newly-promoted side and looks a good shout at 4/1 to score the first goal of the game, with odds of 11/10 offered on an anytime strike.
And despite some patchy home form, Hertha head into this fixture off the back of two wins from their last three Bundesliga games, with both of those victories coming away from home with Ramos racking up a double a 3-0 win over Hamburg.
Freiburg, meanwhile, are struggling for form both home and away and though 4/1 to pick up a surprise win here, have lost three and drawn one of their previous four fixtures in the division, shipping an alarming 11 goals in the process.
With Ramos amassing seven goals in his last eight games for the Berlin club and the visitors shipping exactly four in their last two matches, a big scoreline could be on the cards, making the 21/20 on over 3.5 total goals one to look out for.
Meanwhile, those confident of a victory for the hosts and goals aplenty should look to the total result market, with 33/20 offered on a Hertha Berlin win with over 2.5 goals scored in the match.
Freiburg did manage a 1-1 draw with the capital club earlier in the season but given their current plight, the 11/4 on another stalemate should be avoided with Hertha on a run of eight games that have either been won or lost.
And with Ramos in rampant form, it could be a good night for Berlin, Pekerman and punters far and wide.
