Hawks and Grizzlies lead the shocks in our NBA accumulator

Published:

We’re stateside once again tonight with a treble featuring two big outsiders and an even bigger price for punters to sink their teeth into.

Backing the Hawks, Grizzlies and Clippers to claim series-clinching wins comes highly recommended by Ladbrokes with odds of nearly 7/1 on offer and a return of £78.70 for anyone staking £10 on this accumulator with the bookmakers!

Atlanta Hawks to beat the Indiana Pacers @ 20/21

The Hawks continued to upset the odds last time out with a 107-97 win at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and now back on home turf, we’re tipping Atlanta to claim another win and put the series to bed.

In truth, the Pacers were struggling for form at the end of the campaign with just six wins in their last 15 regular season games and though they are still in this series with two wins, those victories came courtesy of a strong single quarter in Game 2 and a tight win in Game 5.

History is on the Hawks’ side too, given that the eighth-seeded team has won their opening-round series in two of the last three NBA seasons.

With Paul Millsap averaging a team-high 21 points over the last five games, and Atlanta leading every game of the series by double-digits at least one stage, they look likely to wrap it up here.

Memphis Grizzlies to beat Oklahoma City Thunder @ 6/5

The biggest obstacle to Memphis progressing may actually be the Grizzlies themselves. In each of the four games that have gone into overtime in this series the seventh-seeds have managed to blow leads, though they recovered their bearings to score victories in three of those four encounters.

The Grizzlies have also given up a late four-point plays in three of the games played so far against Oklahoma, though that shouldn’t put you off backing them to triumph over a below-par Thunder. Oklahoma City have yet to turn up this series, though it’s questionable as to whether that’s down to them or the impressive efforts of Memphis.

The Grizzlies have held their opponents below 40 per cent shooting for four consecutive games and with Kevin Durant managing just 10 of 24 for 26 points in Game 5, in an encounter that included a six-minute spell in the fourth quarter in which he didn’t shoot, we could have an upset on our hands.

LA Clippers to beat Golden State Warriors @ 20/23

After a brief scare in Game 4, where Golden State cruised to a 118-97 win at the Oracle Arena, the Clippers reasserted their authority over the series with a commendable 113-103 win on their own turf that gives them the key advantage going into this game in Oakland.

Excellent opening and closing quarters were the key to the Clippers’ success last time out and with Golden State proving inconsistent at home of late, with three defeats from the last seven played on their own turf, this is shaping up to be an emotional night all round for the visitors.
