Leicester v QPR: Vardy to get amongst goals as Foxes chase title

Published:

Since sealing their return to England’s top flight Leicester have gone two games without victory but with the title up for grabs Nigel Pearson’s side will be looking to get back to winning ways.

If results go in favour of the Foxes on Saturday they could lift the Championship trophy at the King Power Stadium with a victory over Harry Redknapp’s men, on at evens with Ladbrokes.

But QPR, who are locked in are still looking to secure their play-off place, will have fond memories away at Leicester after picking up a 2-0 win on their last visit back in 2010.

The Hoops are on at 5/2 for a much needed three points after a dismal away run which has seen them win two and lose six in their last eight on the road.

But QPR will be confident of putting up a better show at a ground they have got a result at in three of their last four visits.

With just three draws in the last 15 meetings between the two sides it looks best to avoid the 23/10 on the stalemate but on all three of those occasions the scoreline has been 1-1, which can be found at 13/2.

In the corresponding fixture this season Nigel Pearson’s side ran out 1-0 winners thanks to Jaime Vardy’s first-half strike and punters looking for a repeat of that scoreline can find odds of 15/2.

Vardy returned to the Leicester squad for the trip to Reading following a two week spell on the sidelines and the 16-goal striker is 11/2 to open the scoring and is 7/4 to score anytime.

An exact repeat of the December clash with Vardy scoring first and Leicester winning 1-0 is on at 30/1 with the bookmaker.

For the visitors Junior Hoilett has been in goalscoring form in recent weeks with two from his last four appearances.

The Canadian star is 14/1 to fire the first goal but having not found the net first with any of his four goals this season, backing the 23-year-old to find the net at any time could be a better option.
