Australia speedster perfect option for Burnley’s threadbare wing

Having endured a nerve-affected World Cup debut against Chile, winger Tommy Oar showed his true ability when faced with the 4/11 Group B favourites.
A constant threat down the left hand side, Oar combined with fellow attackers Cahill and Mathew Leckie to worry the Dutch defence whenever they broke forward.
A 22-year-old with pace and creativity, Oar has been playing for Dutch side Utrecht since 2010 and registered one goal and seven assists in 32 total appearances for the club last season.
His passion for assists was abundantly clear when he perhaps wrongly squared the ball to Leckie rather than shoot himself just before Memphis Depay’s long-range third goal for the Dutch.
However, according to Whoscored.com no player has crafted more clear-cut chances at the World Cup than the Gold Coast native.
It’s that invention that could well have a Premier League newcomer adding him to their summer shopping list.
Burnley achieved promotion from the Championship with Michael Kightly and Scott Arfield playing on the wings and a desperately short of depth in that area (Kightly was on loan from Stoke last term).
