Villa among 3 clubs who should accommodate talented midfielder

Uncovering the truth behind manager/player relations is often harder than solving an Agatha Christie murder mystery just a few pages into the novel, that is until either one releases their autobiography.

In this case Sam Allardyce’s questionable rapport with young West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison has led many to speculate that the player loaned out to QPR last season could well be sold on this summer.

If that proves to be the case, Morrison shouldn’t be short of Premier League suitors and below are three that would suit both player and club very well.

Aston Villa – 3/1 for a top-10 finish

If the Villains are to have more than simply ambitions to ensure survival again this season, then acquiring some quality players is a must.

No offence to journeyman such as Philippe Senderos or Joe Cole, but that ‘ain’t gone get the job done’ if Paul Lambert is to finally lift the midlands club up the table or win a cup.

A big plus for Morrison, a troubled character in his short career so far, would be the presence of a mentor like Roy Keane in the dressing room, as Lambert’s number two.

Hull – 13/5 for a top-10 finish

On the same former Manchester legend note, Steve Bruce showed what an excellent nurturer of English midfield talent he is at the KC Stadium last season.

Bruce injected some much-needed impetus into the careers of Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore last season, and was so nearly rewarded with the FA Cup as a result.

Southampton – 5/4 for a top-10 finish

Having seen the carpet being yanked from underneath him in terms of player sales, Ronald Koeman is another in need of fresh blood.

Someone with such a glittering playing career as the Dutchman could also be the perfect man to bring Morrison’s promise to fruition.

He’s not quite Adam Lallana, but a schemer like Morrison could help fill some of the creative void left by the England midfielder.
