Published:Ahead of the UEFA Super Cup the world’s most expensive footballer is so confident of his teammates abilities he’s suggesting a win against Sevilla in Cardiff could be the catalyst for an unprecedented six-trophy haul for Real Madrid this season.
Speaking in the city of his birth, a bronzed and beefed-up Gareth Bale laid it on the line by suggesting Real Madrid would be giving it everything to snare silverware in all six competitions they are entered in.
“We want to win everything, and we will try to do that this season,” he said.
As such Ladbrokes have responded with one of their breaking bets, offering a price of 33/1 to support Bale’s trophy claims.
That would mean Real bagging the UEFA Super Cup, Spanish Super Cup, La Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup, easy!
While the Welshman wouldn’t be the first footballer in the world to proclaim such ambitions for their team, some notable additions to the Madrid squad this summer make these claims all the more intriguing.
