Scottish Premiership accumulator: Aberdeen and Celtic to star

Published:

With Glasgow Rangers, Hearts and Hibernian all demoted to the Scottish Championship, you would be forgiven for thinking there weren’t many big games left in the Scottish Premiership this season.

But you’d be wrong, as this Wednesday’s fine selection of games offers up a fivefold available at odds of nearly 20/1! Sound good? Then read on for the details on how Dundee United, Aberdeen, Inverness, St Mirren and, of course, Celtic can help you cash-in.

Dundee United to beat Motherwell @ 4/5

The Terrors made a terrific start last time out with a 3-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie that was the standout result of the opening weekend. Jackie McNamara’s side have an opportunity to build on that with a win over a Motherwell side they have overcome in each of their last three meetings.

Inverness CT to beat Dundee @ 10/11

Caley Thistle also kicked-off their season with an important 2-0 win away at newly-promoted Hamilton and the good times could continue to roll against another Premiership newcomer in Dundee – a team they overcame 1-0 away from home in the League Cup last term.

Aberdeen to beat Kilmarnock @ 10/11

The Dons may have taken a hammering on home soil last Saturday but a trip to Kilmarnock – a team backed to struggle this season – should give them a chance to bounce back. Aberdeen have won each of their last four encounters with Killie and should make it five here.

Celtic to beat St Johnstone @ 1/2

The Bhoys enjoyed a break from the action last weekend following their Champions League exploits and will be fresh for this trip to McDiarmid Park to meet a St Johnstone side they have a fine record against. All told, Celtic have beaten the Saints in four of their last five meetings in the Premiership.

St Mirren to beat Hamilton @ 11/10

Hamilton received a harsh lesson on their return to the top-flight, going down 2-0 at home to Inverness and it won’t get any easier here against St Mirren team smarting from a narrow loss to Motherwell. The Buddies have beaten the Accies in their previous two meetings too.
