5 Reasons you must back Valencia, Lazio and Espanyol to win

Published:

Ladbrokes is back with a one-off price boost covering some of the action in La Liga and Serie A, with little in the way of football to enjoy, this your chance to earn some extra midweek winnings.

And with the games set to be broadcast on Sky Sports and BT Sport, here are five reasons you would be daft not to get involved!

Valencia’s great La Liga start

Los Che appear to be returning to the kind of form that saw them win the title twice under Rafa Benitez in the early 2000s, with a return of 10 points from the first 12 available in La Liga.

Currently on a run of three straight wins in the Spanish top-flight, Valencia have also scored exactly three goals in each of their last three domestic fixtures and the good times look set to continue against a newly-promoted Cordoba team with just two points to their name this term.

Lazio’s Udinese dominance

Udinese may be enjoying a positive start to the current campaign under new manager Andrea Stramaccioni but they will no doubt be dreading a trip to the Stadio Olimpico to face a Lazio team that has scored 10 goals without reply in their last two outings in Rome.

More important than that, however is the hoodoo the Biancocelesti have enjoyed over the visitors in recent times with Lazio beating Udinese home and away last term and aiming to pick up a fifth win from their last six Stadio Olimpico meetings with the Zebrette.

Time is on Espanyol’s side

Espanyol may have failed to pick up three points so far this term, but despite narrowly losing to high-flying Sevilla at home this season, the Barcelona-based side look the likely winners here, having already dispatched Sabadell in the Copa del Rey at  Estadi Cornellà-El Prat.

Getafe have won just two of their last 15 La Liga games on the road and have gone just over  240 minutes without scoring a goal, shipping five at the other end during the same period.

The price offered by Ladbrokes

There’s really never been a better time to back what looks to be a banker treble of home wins, with Ladbrokes rolling out the red carpet this Thursday with a price that should be being shouted from the rooftops.

Previously offered at 10/3 with the bookmaker, the price offered for those backing a trio of wins for Lazio, Valencia and Espanyol to win has now moved to a sensational 4/1!

Because it’s a Thursday

Too late for anything in the way of a meaningful midweek fixture in any of the English divisions and not quite close enough to the weekends, in the absence of the Europa League Thursday nights can be something of a wasteland for the average punter.

But with a bumper schedule of European games to enjoy, this is your chance to go into work on Friday with a smile on your face.
