And so the time is near. We await the final curtain. For some, the Celebrity Big Brother final can’t come soon enough.

But however you feel about Channel 5’s voyeuristic freak-fest, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth when the chance of turning a profit is concerned.

In betting terms American actor Gary Busey has had the ‘show winner’ market sewn up for much of this year’s three-week run.

At odds of 4/6 you certainly won’t be getting rich quick by backing the Point Break star to triumph.

But if you’re after a bit more value then supplement your Busey bet with a wager on these outcomes:

1^st and 2^nd Forecast – Gary and George @ 7/4

The intriguing combination of Gary/James (10/1) offers the lure of a big win but in reality the stage looks set for both Gary and George to be hugging on the sofa as Emma Willis reveals the winner.

There’s been an air of inevitability about this particular pairing staying until the bitter end.

Gary’s eccentric antic have provided the television gold in an otherwise dull edition.

Meanwhile, George’s everyman appeal as ‘that likeable bloke from Gogglebox’, combined with his headline grabbing flirtations with Stephanie Pratt (punching) have been the other main sub-plot.

But will the public make George suffer now that we’ve seen him smooching Edele?

Former B*Witched singer Edele has done well to get this far and looks a banker to be the first leaving the house tonight.

Having played it safe she’s perhaps peaked at the right time in developing something of a showmance with George.

However, while she’s had her backers it’s unlikely that she’ll topple any of the other five remaining housemates.
