Championship Acca: Wolves and Watford to win away

Published:

Punters are being told to “go away” this weekend with four sides looking primed for victory on the road in the Championship.

Nothing beats an away day for football fans, except maybe a winning accumulator, and Ladbrokes News has put together a tasty-looking fourfold paying out at odds of over 36/1.

Read on to find out why Norwich, Sheffield Wednesday, Watford and Wolves could leave you smiling this weekend.

Wolves to beat Blackpool @ 4/5

The Tangerines may have beaten Wolves last time the sides met but there little evidence to suggest a repeat here.

Blackpool’s poor preparation for the new season has seen them lose all five of their Championship games so far and the visit of Wolves will offer little respite.

Kenny Jackett’s men have now won three on the bounce, putting the big names of Cardiff, Fulham and Blackburn to the sword in the sequence.

Sheffield Wednesday to beat Bolton @ 2/1

Bolton may be going strong in the League Cup but the Trotters are yet to taste victory in the Championship this season.

Wednesday, by comparison, have lost just one game this term – against promotion hopefuls and current table toppers Nottingham Forest – and will fancy their chances against a Bolton side that has won just one in six home games.

The Owls last beat Bolton in 1997 but expect that long sequence to end this Saturday.

Norwich to beat Cardiff @ 9/5

Probably the toughest game of the weekend to call but with league top scorer Lewis Grabban firing on all cylinders the Canaries are too good a price to ignore.

Cardiff are unbeaten at home this season but Norwich will provide a much sterner test than either Huddersfield or Wigan could provide.

The Bluebirds have only beaten Norwich twice in seven attempts and will need to be at the top of their game to improve their record here.

Watford to beat Charlton @ 6/4

Charlton were the surprise package at the start of the season – taking maximum points from both Wigan and Derby – but have gone off the boil with two draws and a defeat from their last three games.

Watford have been the reverse after bouncing back from a 3-0 defeat at Norwich to win three on the bounce in the Championship, scoring 10 goals in that time.
