Czech Republic v Holland: RVP to score in win to nil

Published:

After being the nearly men of the World Cup under Louis van Gaal Holland will attempt to go one better at Euro 2016 under Guus Hiddink as they get their qualification campaign underway against the Czech Republic.

Holland are the 10/11 favourites to take all three points, with the Czechs priced as 3/1 underdogs and the draw available at 5/2.

However, Ladbrokes news has scoured the 117 markets available on the game for better value and come up with the following three best bets.

Holland to win to nil @ 21/10

The Czechs, while failing to qualify for the World Cup, should not be taken lightly in this competition, having lost just three of their last 25 Euro qualifiers as hosts.

However, Holland come into the game on the back of a third-place finish in Brazil and in good Euro form themselves.

The Dutch have won four of their last five on the road and did not concede a single goal in those matches. Back the Oranje to get away clean again here.

Holland to win 2-0 @ 15/2

The two teams have been pretty evenly matched in recent meetings, with Holland winning three, the Republic winning three and three draws produced from the last nine clashes.

However, Holland have won the last two meetings and by a scoreline of 2-0. With the well-drilled Dutch defence set to be on display again this result certainly tempts at the price.

Robin van Persie to score first @ 9/2 (or anytime @ 7/4)

Van Persie is yet to score for Manchester United this season but has netted four in his last six for Holland including the 3-0 win over Brazil in the third-place play-off.

RVP scored 28 times for club and country last term and 11 of those strikes came first in games, making the 9/2 a tempting price.
