However, few punters predicted that Villa would be on seven points at this stage. They’re 10/1 to beat an injury-hit Liverpool side at Anfield. Stranger things have happened.

By coincidence or otherwise, three of the four Premier League goals the Blues have conceded this term were assisted by players who lined up on the left side.

Chelsea’s right-back zone was clearly left empty for Burnley’s opener at Turf Moor on the opening weekend, and with Ecuadorian speed-merchant Montero likely to make a fourth second-half Premier League appearance on the bounce, Ivanovic will need to be on his guard.

With this in mind, backing the Swans to bag the last goal at 29/10 is advised.
