QPR v Stoke: Hosts set for another defeat in front of cameras

Published:

Having embarrassingly helped Manchester United out of their slumber in front of the Sky cameras last week, QPR have a chance to show the watching public just how good they can be when they take on Stoke in the early kick-off.

However, history and the season’s results so far indicate that Harry Redknapp’s side will fail in their pursuit of redemption, read why in our three best bets below:

Both teams to score: No @ 4/5

Meetings between these two always tend to fail as far as both teams scoring is concerned. Three of their four top-flight tussles would have seen a bet on the “no” selection land, while nine of their last 14 clashes in any division have obliged.

Stoke to win to nil @ 13/4

Stoke’s only win of the Premier League season so far came by a win to nil, against Manchester City of all people, so achieving the same feat against a QPR side that’s failed to score in eight of their last 10 Premier League outings should be a doddle.

Under 2.5 goals @ 3/5

All of Stoke’s previous four top-flight outings have fallen short of the 2.5-goal line, while the last three encounters between the Potters and the Hoops have alse failed to produce three or more strikes.

At Loftus Road this season, both games to be played there thus far have ended 1-0, adding even more weight to the case for the “unders”.
