Champions League Accumulator: Basel one side who owe us a win

| 04.11.2014

Our Champions League accumulator for Tuesday has a familiar feel to it, with three sides that were backed a fortnight ago returning alongside a Spanish juggernaut.

Let’s just hope we can beat last time’s return of zero wins from our picks then!

But with home advantage switched, Ladbrokes News’ Ben Stones believes that backing home triumphs for Basel, Real Madrid, Benfica and Juventus with this four-fold priced up at just shy of 9/1 is the way to go.

And if you fancy adding an Arsenal win, making a 12/1 five-fold, you qualify for our offer which provides you with money back as a free bet* if one side let you down!

Basel to beat Ludogorets @ 4/5

Ludogorets may have snatched a late winner to defeat the 10 men of Basel in the reverse fixture, but the Swiss side should turn the tables back on their own soil.

Their last two home matches in the Champions League have seen RotBlau beat both Liverpool and Chelsea, proving they are a tricky side to get anything out of in front of their own fans.

Real Madrid -1 v Liverpool @ 8/13

It was a relative walk in the park for Carlo Ancelotti’s men when they visited Anfield last month, and the form they are currently in means it could be even easier back in warmer climes.

Los Blancos have scored 18 goals in their last four matches at the Bernabeu, compared to Liverpool’s form of three defeats in four on the road, and we can only see one outcome in the Spanish capital.

Benfica to beat Monaco @ 17/20

You can excuse Benfica’s defeat to Zenit in this competition last month, with goalkeeper Artur Moraes sent off just 18 minutes into that match.

The Portuguese side have won their last three games at home and will be up for this if they are to keep their hopes of progression alive.

It could come down to their strikers nicking an odd goal with Monaco scoring two or more goals in just two of their last 15 games. Don’t expect a thriller.

Juventus to win to nil v Olympiakos @ 17/20

Only Roma have left Juventus Stadium having got on the scoresheet in the Old Lady’s last nine games at home.

They need to bounce back after defeat in Greece left them bottom of the group, however with Olympiakos firing blanks in three of their last four road-trips, a shut-out victory could be on the cards for the Italians.
