Crystal Palace to stand firm over in-demand midfielder

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has issued a hands-off warning to Liverpool over in-form midfielder Yannick Bolasie.
The DR Congo international has put in a string of dazzling displays for the Eagles this season and reports suggest the Anfield outfit are preparing a January swoop on Selhurst Park.
However, Warnock has stated in no uncertain terms that the player is well suited to life in south London and insisted the 25-year-old will not be sold.
Speaking ahead of the weekend’s clash with Swansea, for which the Eagles are priced as 19/5 underdogs, Warnock said: “Oh no, he won’t be going anywhere in January, no chance.
“He’s a great lad anyhow. The top clubs won’t know what he can or can’t do, how can they come in for him? I’ve think he’s made to measure at Palace if I’m honest.”
Bolasie will be departing Selhurst Park in January, however, as he joins up with his Congo team mates for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Palace will also lose captain Mile Jedinak, who will turn out for Australia in the Asia Cup, and Warnock admitted that work has been going on behind the scenes to bring in new faces to fill the void.
With Warnock anticipating a tough time at the turn of the year the Palace boss is said to be keen to beef up his rear guard with a move for Slovenia defender Gregor Balazic.
Currently playing in the Ukrainian top flight with Karpaty Lviv Balazic will be available on a free transfer from December 31st.
Karpaty are currently rock bottom of the league but Balazic has been one of few positives, chipping in with four goals from his 12 appearances so far this term.
QPR are also said to be interested in his services, however, so Warnock could be forced to move sooner rather than later to land his man.
