Hull v Spurs: Respite to come on the road for Pochettino and co

| 22.11.2014

Tottenham are currently languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League, having failed to win seven of their 11 top-flight fixtures so far this term.

It’s fair to say the early days of Mauricio Pochettino’s Lilywhites reign haven’t quite set the White Hart Lane heather alight, but we fancy the north Londoners to get their act together at Hull.

Spurs to win @ 6/5

The Lilywhites have been shocking on their own patch of late, losing four of their five top-flight matches since the end of August, against Liverpool, West Brom, Newcastle and Stoke.

However, Spurs have pulled in plenty of points on the road under Pochettino and have only lost away to champions Manchester City in the Premier League this term.

After going unbeaten in their first four 2014/15 KC Stadium fixtures, Hull have lost two of the last three at home in the league, so Spurs will rightly fancy their chances again.

Nacer Chadli to score the first goal @ 8/1

No other Spurs player is near the Belgium wide-forward for scoring prowess in the Premier League this term; Christian Eriksen is the Lilywhites’ second-highest top-flight scorer with half of Chadli’s six goals so far.

There’s absolutely no reason to feel confident in either Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado, Harry Kane or Erik Lamela breaking the deadlock, so stick with the 25-year-old in Hull.

Robbie Brady to score at any time @ 9/2

This looks a wild price about a player who bagged twice for Republic of Ireland against USA in midweek, especially considering Brady has started each of Hull’s last three fixtures.

Brady has notched three league goals in each of the past couple of seasons under Steve Bruce, but is yet to find the back of the net for his club this term.

This weekend looks as good a time as any to catch the former Manchester United youth breaking his 2014/15 Hull duck.
