I’m a Celebrity: We sort the shining stars from the no-hopers

Published:

How would we survive the onset of winter without it? I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! returns to our screens soon and as always, we can’t wait.

And to celebrate the return of the ITV reality smash we thought we’d provide some key betting insight ahead of another dose of ‘must-see’ television.

Too much? We don’t think so.

Big Personalities:

Which of our 10 celebrities (10 at the time of counting…) are going to have instant appeal?

Self-confessed I’m a Celeb fan Jimmy Bullard is the early 7/4 favourite and it surely won’t be long before the known prankster makes himself the life and soul of the camp.

Actor and DJ Craig Charles (9/2) is another contestant fancied to do well as he bids to become the first soap star to win the show.

Meanwhile, Melanie Sykes (8/1) is the next in the betting. Rumour has it she’s looking for a new man – but NOT in the jungle.

Watch this space.

No-Hopers:

You’d think former Playmate Kendra Wikinson would have all of the right attributes to be a jungle success (interpret that as you see fit).

Ladbrokes aren’t convinced and make the 29-year-old a 16/1 outsider for victory.

If we’re going to stereotype we may as well put fellow model Nadia Forde (20/1) in the same category.

Meanwhile, former World Superbikes king Carl Fogarty (12/1) may have no problems negotiating a hairpin bend at 70mph.

But apparently he’s not so keen on “food, boredom and people.”

Not quite sure this is the competition for you, Carl.

Golden Oldies

Look no further than series one winner Tony Blackburn and 2007 King of the Jungle Christopher Biggins to find successful I’m a Celebrity golden oldies.

TV newsreader and 14/1 hopeful Michael Buerk and 63-year old actress Vicki Michelle (25/1) will be hoping to emulate their predecessors.

Buerk has already stated he’ll use part of his £150,000 appearance fee to fund the purchase of some new double glazing.

Let’s hope we see that same extravagant side in Australia…

Glutton for Punishment:

Towie star and 12/1 shot Gemma Collins may soon be reconsidering her decision to go into the jungle.

She told the Mail Online: ‘Every time I think about going in the jungle, I get very, very nervous. I get stomach cramps, I feel sick. Even talking about it scares me.”

Oh, and who wouldn’t want to see everyone’s favourite award-winning rapper, Tinchy Stryder (10/1), eating a load of wichety grubs? How the mighty have fallen.
