Liverpool strikers aren’t the only ones flopping this season

| 13.11.2014

Mario Balotelli has copped enough flak for his scoreless start to his top-flight Liverpool career to fill a glossy magazine.

While the criticism he is receiving is justified considering his £16m price tag and continued languid performances, he isn’t the only striker signed this summer for wide-ranging fees yet to break their Premier League duck.

For a start he isn’t the only Red who is yet to repay the “faith” shown by Brendan Rodgers’ cash investment with a goal, as Rickie Lambert is also goalless since swapping Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium for his boyhood club.

Newcastle, West Brom and Burnley all have a sinking summer signing on their books and, in the spirit of equality, we’ve decided to highlight their shortcomings in graphical form.

Looking at the below “Table of Failure”, Emmanuel Riviere is a bigger flop than Balotelli at the moment, but that’s just us. What do you think?
