A pivotal Scotland win among Ladbrokes’ enhanced Euro treble

Published:

Like visiting the in-laws, the international break is one of the most unwanted but unremovable aspects of footballing life.

In an attempt to try and sweeten the loss of Premier League football for a week, Ladbrokes have served up a treble of international wins at enhanced odds.

The below three teams were once 3/1 to all win their matches in the upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers, but they have now been enhanced to dizzying price of 4/1 instead. Here’s why each team are set to land you a windfall:

Scotland to beat Republic of Ireland

With both sides flourishing under relatively newly-appointed managers, and standing a live chance of qualifying for Euro 2016 as a result, both Scotland and Republic of Ireland are hard to separate in the match betting.

As hosts, Scotland should hold some confidence of getting the result, considering they have lost just twice in the last 13 internationals they’ve played at home.

Ireland, on the other hand, have won just once in their last 11 away games.

Romania to beat Northern Ireland

Before this shocking run of wins, which has put Northern Ireland top of F, the Green and White Army had only won one game in their past 22 outings.

All punters with a modicum of betting experience will know that streaks come to an end eventually and Romania are set to derail Michael O’Neill’s.

The only other unbeaten side remaining in the group have lost just twice in their last 18 matches at home and beat the Northern Irish 2-0 last time they met.

Portugal to beat Armenia

At 2/11 in Ladbrokes’ match-betting market, it’s fair to say that Portugal are this treble’s banker.

Although enduring a patchy run of form, where Cristiano Ronaldo and co have only won twice in the last six games, they should be able to blow the cobwebs away with a small puff of the cheeks against Armenia.

The visitors are without a win in six and have only triumphed once in their last nine.
