Punters still backing Judy Murray to WIN Strictly Come Dancing

Published:

Judy Murray will cost Ladbrokes a staggering £50,000 if she goes all the way and wins Strictly Come Dancing this year.

The tennis coach, who is partnered by dance favourite Anton du Beke, has continually found herself stuck at the bottom of the leaderboard with the judges likening her to household essentials such as an ironing board and a coat hanger when she takes to the floor.

But despite the brilliant performances from the likes of Frankie Bridge, Jake Wood and Caroline Flack, punters are continuing to back the tennis coach to land this year’s Glitterball trophy and it has left the bookies facing a huge payout of £50,000 should she go on to win the show on December 20th.

“The money for Judy to win Strictly is relentless,” said Ladbrokes’ Jessica Bridge

“Although she doesn’t even come close to topping the leaderboard we’re fully expecting her to rack up the most public votes once again, and easily waltz away from the terror of the dance off.”

Murray is currently chalked up at 40/1 but those odds are certain to tumble once again should she make it through another week when the show moves to Blackpool and the Tower Ballroom.

This Morning reporter Alison Hammond has been heavily backed to leave the show on Sunday night at 7/4 after being voted into the bottom two after last week’s Halloween show, or it’s a 5/1 shot Simon fails to escape from the bottom two one more time.

Despite a couple of below standard weeks, Eastenders actor Jake remains the red-hot favourite at 2/1 for Strictly glory, followed closely by popstars Frankie (5/2) and Pixie Lott (7/2).

Caroline is available at 5/1 to win the show, while former TOWIE star Mark Wright is creeping up on the rails after two excellent weeks and is now 10/1 for success.
