Championship accumulator: Bournemouth head up away day treble

Published:

AFC Bournemouth will cast their League Cup defeat to Liverpool aside this weekend to cement their place at the top of the Championship.

The Cherries head north to take on basement boys Blackpool in a battle of the seaside towns and at 4/6 Eddie Howe’s side spearhead an away day treble paying out at 11/1.

Brentford and Watford are also tipped to take three points from Cardiff and Reading respectively, but with Ladbrokes returning losing bets when one side lets down a 5+ accumulator, adding wins for Middlesbrough and Brighton could also tempt at huge odds of 113/1.

Read on to see why the away day treble is the way to go this weekend.

Bournemouth to beat Blackpool @ 4/6

Bournemouth have been given a gift of a chance to get over the League Cup disappointment with a trip to bottom club Blackpool.

The Cherries are unbeaten in 11 Championship games, winning eight of those ties, and will confident of blowing away a Tangerine outfit with just two wins from 14 home games.

Eddie Howe’s men created a hatful of chances against Liverpool and will run Blackpool ragged with a similar display here.

Brentford to beat Cardiff @ 19/10

Cardiff are a solid side on their day but their current form – just two wins from six games – appears poor preparation for a Brentford side excelling in the second tier.

The Bees have won six of their last seven games and will fancy their chances of cementing their promotion credentials against a Bluebirds side that shipped five against Bournemouth last timeout.

Watford to beat Reading @ 8/5

Watford have well and truly put their four-game losing streak behind them, building on the 5-0 win over Fulham with a 2-1 victory over Wigan.

They will fancy their chances of making it three wins in a row against a Royals side with just three victories from 15 games in all competitions.

The home side hasn’t won this fixture since 2010 and on current form that run looks set to continue here.
