Europa League accumulator: Legia Warsaw and Wolfsburg backed to win

Published:

While much of the Champions League qualification picture already firmly in place this week, fortunately with the Europa League boasting a whopping 52 teams there is still plenty to play for – and bet on – this Thursday night.

And we’ve got one hell of an accumulator for you this week, featuring four teams that look in great shape to pick up important victories as part of a 20/1 shot that is definitely worth a couple of quid.

The teams may not be the most familiar but come 10pm this Thursday you could well be singing the names of Wolfsburg, PAOK, Young Boys and Legia Warsaw from the rooftops

Legia Warsaw to beat Trabzonspor @ 6/5

Both of these sides have already secured safe passage to the knockout stages of the competition but with top spot up for grabs there is still plenty to play for in Poland with the winner likely to dodge a potential tournament-ending tie with one of the Champions League third-placed teams.

Legia look the better prospect for victory, having already beaten Trabzonspor in Turkey, with the visitors heading into this game off the back of a 3-0 tonking at the hands of Galatasaray, while the Poles have won three on the bounce in the league, scoring nine goals and conceding none.

Wolfsburg to beat Lille @ 13/10

These two played out a 1-1 draw in Germany but with Lille requiring a win to progress, the Wolves could well hit their out-of-form French opponents on the break to potentially devastating effect.

Lille are on a run of 12 games without a win in all competitions while Wolfsburg sit second in the Bundesliga following a fine 3-1 victory away against Hannover at the weekend and with LOSC winless in four at home going into this game, only one outcome looks likely.

PAOK to beat Guingamp @ 8/11

Greek Super League leaders PAOK head into this game requiring a victory against a Guingamp side that has so far surprised in the competition but remain weak away from home.

The French side were comprehensively beaten by Fiorentina and held to a draw by group whipping boys Dinamo Minsk in their two previous away outings in the competition and with PAOK hammering the Belarusian side 6-1 when they visited Thessaloniki, a home win looks assured.

Young Boys to beat Sparta Praha @ 3/2

Another side requiring a victory to progress, Young Boys will nevertheless be confident of dispatching their Czech opponents after some impressive results at home in the Europa League.

The Swiss side have already beaten Slovan Bratislava and Napoli at the Stade de Suisse and come into this fixture off the back of a six-game winning run in all competitions. With Sparta winning just one of their last nine games away from home in the competition, it’s Young Boys all the way.
