Arsenal’s Sanchez boosted to clip Seagulls’ wings early

Despite being stung on numerous occasions this season, Ladbrokes are sticking their necks on the line yet again by boosting Arsenal’s South American sensation to score first in the FA Cup fourth round.

If you hadn’t guessed in the intro, that man is Alexis Sanchez, who has already rewarded first goalscorer backers no fewer than ten times in all competitions this season.

Ladbrokes customers should therefore be delighted that Arsenal’s number 17 has been enhanced from 3/1 out to 4/1 to break the deadlock at Brighton in Sunday’s 16:00 FA Cup kick-off.

The Chilean has already struck against the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Southampton en-route to 18 goals in all competitions this term, so struggling Championship side Brighton could well be in trouble.

Last season it was fellow South American Luis Suarez banging in goals like they were going out of fashion, but since heading in the opposite direction to the former Liverpool man, Sanchez has picked up the Uruguayan’s baton on English shores.

Displaying a similar brand of tenacity, dribbling ability and unerring accuracy in front of goal, Sanchez is right out of the top draw.

He wasn’t on the scoresheet at the Etihad during Arsenal’s crucial win over City last time out in the league, though Sanchez hasn’t gone more than three games without bulging the net since August.

Arsenal arrive well-rested and full of confidence at the Falmers Stadium and it looks like being a happy day out by the seaside for Sanchez and his teammates.
