FA Cup accumulator: Chelsea are the cherry on our Cup cake

Published:

This Saturday’s FA Cup fixtures are a minefield for accumulator fans and with plenty of tasty-looking big-price outsiders and odds-on favourites in action it can prove tricky to find the right balance between common sense and optimism.

Fortunately Ladbrokes News is on hand with a fivefold that features heavily-fancied hosts like Chelsea, Tottenham and Southampton and yet still pays out at just under 14/1 with the bookmaker.

And best of all, the inclusion of this high-flying trio, along with a couple of curveball selections means you can take advantage of our money back offer on accumulators featuring five teams or more, in the event that just one of the group let’s you down.*

So read on to find out why it’s shaping up to be a Saturday to savour for punters once again.

Chelsea to beat Bradford @ 1/8

The Blues may be heavy favourites for victory here but they nevertheless merit inclusion for not only bumping up the price on this accumulator but also giving you the added security of our fivefold money back offer.

Having recently put Swansea to the sword with a 5-0 win, Chelsea will be expected to make short work of Bradford who recently lost 1-0 away to Yeovil – currently bottom of the table in League One.

Derby to beat Chesterfield @ 1/2

Defeat to Nottingham Forest may have brought an end to Derby’s four-game winning streak, but they will be confident of seeing off Chesterfield, who needed 210 minutes of football to beat Scunthorpe in the last round.

The Spireites come into this game off the back of a 3-1 defeat away to Swindon and after winning just one of their last four on the road, there is little to suggest they will come out on top here.

Sheffield United to beat Preston @ 12/5

The Blades have a reputation as cup specialists and after giving a fine account of themselves against Tottenham in their League Cup semi-final first leg clash they could be at it again here.

QPR were put to the sword with a 3-0 defeat on their own turf so Nigel Clough’s team will have few qualms about visiting Deepdale, especially as they beat Preston in a League One clash earlier this month.

Southampton to beat Crystal Palace @ 8/13

Alan Pardew may be riding high at present, but the Eagles boss could be about to come crashing back down to earth against a Southampton side that have already beat Palace in the league.

The Saints have gone eight games without defeat, winning six and drawing two of those encounters and after victories over Arsenal and Manchester United in recent weeks, they will have little to fear.

Tottenham to beat Leicester @ 8/13

A 1-0 victory over Sheffield United made it three wins on the spin for Spurs and having already beaten Leicester 2-1 on Boxing Day, they will fancy their chances against a Foxes side likely to be more concerned with Premier League survival than a cup run.

Leicester have won just one of their last nine away from the King Power Stadium, while Tottenham are unbeaten in 10 at home and have won four in a row at White Hart Lane.
