Arsenal hitman enhanced for first goal against Middlesbrough

Danny Welbeck marked his return from injury with a standout performance in the north London derby despite ending up on the losing side and after a midweek rest the Arsenal striker will be raring to go in the FA Cup.

Welbeck didn’t feature when Leicester came to visit in Tuesday’s Premier League game, meaning Arsene Wenger most probably has plans to unleash the England forward from the start against Middlesbrough.

The England striker was full of his trademark endeavour at White Hart Lane and marked the game with a breathtaking show of pace and accurate cut-back to set up Mesut Ozil’s opener.

Back at the Emirates this time and Welbeck looks a fantastic price to break the deadlock himself, having been boosted by Ladbrokes from 4/1, out to 5/1.

Having missed all of January’s fixtures through injury, Welbeck will be chomping at the bit to get his first taste of FA Cup action this season for the holders.

The former Manchester United man has netted a goal every three appearances for his new club, while also excelling on the international stage where he’s added another five strikes to his burgeoning Three Lions tally.

Among a wealth of attacking strings to Wenger’s bows, Welbz looks a fine choice given his enhanced odds to land the first blow of the fifth-round tie.

Arsenal have been imperious at home ever since Manchester United stole a 2-1 victory back in December too, winning their last seven matches at the Emirates in all competitions – scoring first on each occasion.
