Another Madrid derby promotes Bayern to Champions League favs

Carlo Ancelotti and Diego Simeone must be sick of the sight of each other, having met on the touchline six times already this season, but with the latest Champions League draw pitching the two Madrid sides together again another slobberknocker is in prospect.
Before the last-eight draw Real Madrid were joint favourites at 11/4 to lift the trophy in May, but a potentially tricky draw has seen Ronaldo and Co. pushed out to 7/2 to triumph.
That’s for good reason too. Of those six clashes during the current campaign, Atletico have defeated their city rivals on four occasions, and drawn twice.
However, that hasn’t stopped Ladbrokes pushing last year’s runner-up out from 10/1 to 18/1 to go one better this time round, having been in and out of form during this campaign.
There were undoubtedly two big winners from Friday’s draw – Bayern Munich and Juventus.
The German side are now the outright favourites for the trophy (17/10 from 12/5) having been drawn against Porto.
Despite the fact the Portuguese side have won their last five in all competitions without conceding, they have arguably progressed from the weakest group in the Champions League and are likely to get found out by the Bavarian behemoths.
Elsewhere Juventus’ odds took a tumble from 14/1 into 9/1 as they were drawn against Monaco.
The sides met in the semi finals back in 1998, with the Italians triumphing 6-4 on aggregate before going on to lose to Real Madrid in the final.
They looked imperious when taking apart a formerly solid Dortmund side in the last round, while their French opponents needed the away goals rule to get past Arsenal.
The quarter-final line-up was completed with Barcelona drawn up against PSG, with goals expected in their clash – their last four have yielded 15 goals, with both sides netting in all of them.
Barca were slightly nudged out from 11/4 to 3/1, while PSG went from 10s to 16s after the draw, in what looks an exciting round of fixtures.
