What sports stars and celebrities are saying about Election 2015

| 07.05.2015

With the polling stations now closed it’s time for the real business to begin. Millions of lovely votes need to be counted (possibly re-counted) before we can find out the outcome of the UK Election.

So, in the meantime let’s take some time out to reflect on the important events of May 7.

Or have a quick trawl through Twitter to see what a few D-list celebrities and high-profile sporting figures were saying as the day unfolded…

Joey Essex

There are no words to explain this man. He’s a complete parody of himself, right?

Katie Hopkins

Her husband could’ve been a national hero. But not if the Exit Poll is to be believed.

Joey Barton

Yeah, it’s pretty good Joey. #IVoted.

Michael Vaughan

The cricket supremo left us in doubt as to his followers’ political convictions.

Gary Lineker

Gary taps into Britain’s national pasttime.

OK, this was from yesterday but most of us can surely applaud the sentiment. No? We might fall out.

Brian Moore

Ex-England rugby legend Moore had obviously been speaking to Gary before making this soundbite.

If he told you to vote you’d do it.
